Potassium is only if you are on a water pill for high blood pressure. You can exercise, work up slowly, walk or stretch and then do some floor exercises. Whatever you can do to move is just fine as long as you get moving. Then you need to stop salty foods. There is a lot of hidden salt in things like processed foods, bacon, lunchmeats, canned veggies even, fast food is full of it, chips, hot dogs, all that stuff is off the menu. Plus cut out fatty food and that is most fast food. Salads, Subway low fat and calorie sandwiches are od. But most fast food is bad for you. Eat small healthy meals several times a day. Ear veggies, fruit, small palm sized portions of meat and whole grain cereal and breads. No cakes, cookies and white bread or fried foods. Cut out fats like butter and margerine. Use the new kinds made from olive oil and such.
Cut out all soft drinks, they are loaded with sodium which is another name for salt. Then check the BP and take the meds the DR. gives you. Also, if you smoke, stop right now. It is the worst. So, that’s a lot of info. Try changing some everyday. Try some moving every day, cut out one thing every day. Don’t buy salty refined foods and bring them home. That way you won’t eat them. Please look out for your health. High BP can cause heart attacks and strokes which run in my family. So, I know. Good luck. They call it the silent killer because you can have it and not know it. Good luck. Prayers coming your way.

If you have the time, cook your own meals and make them healthy, its the best way, cooking in itself can be therapeutic. There is no one vitamin supplement you can take without risks.
Water or fortified mineral water should be the only liquid you consume (Via Viente being an exception, check that out). LOTS of Organic Vegs and fruits, oily fish and lean poultry (no skin) if you have to have meat. To season your foods, use olive oil, use more spices, use only one seasoned salt, make sure spices you use do not contain salt. I buy ms dash and whole spices.
Whole Grains – a good universal grain to eat every day as often as you want is this super healthy grain called “Quinoa”, look it up and buy asap. Rolled Oats, Steel cut oats (superior), with 2% or fat free milk for breakfast.
Well, pretty much eat natural foods, completely avoid ALL highly processed foods. No transfats doesnt mean you can have as much as you want – eliminate fried foods. Like the others have said, any physical activity that gets your heart rate beating a little faster is good, just having a job is enough, but make sure when you get home, you have a healthy snack, and relax for a few hours. I eat this way every day, last I had my BP checked by my physician my BP was 122 (or 126) over 60 . Thats pretty low, which kinda concerned me, thats almost dead, but he said its great numbers.
If you are concerned about you BP, see your cardiologist and let him know you want to look for a natural way to lower you BP, he may send you to a nutritionist. Good luck.

Do you mean you have low blood pressure? If so eat regularly, keep your fluids up, don’t be tempted to so all the bad stuff. Rise slowly from chairs. Take a minute to overcome the dizzy spells when entering airconditioned areas and thank your lucky stars you won’t be likely to have a heart attack.

Yes, there are several ways to lower blood pressure naturally. If you smoke and drink alcohol, you should cut down or quit. A regular exercise regime recommended by your doctor would also help, especially if you are overweight. Eat lower sodium foods and eat lots of fruits, vegetables and oatmeal.. The most important thing is to lower stress levels, especially if you are in a highly stressful profession. The body needs to be reprogrammed if it’s used to having a higher than normal blood pressure. Many people achieve this through natural means and if not, something may be prescribed by your MD to help, but you do not have to stay on this medication forever.
